Anita Lane & Mick Harvey

Distractions, distractions in the record boxes stored under the bed...this time in the form of Anita Lane singing Serge Gainsbourg's 'Harley Davidson'. Rather splendid. Now trying to find my copy of 'The World's a Girl' by Ms Lane which is a gem.

  1. I was rather chuffed last night when I discovered that I still had my copy of Lesley Duncan's version of "I Go To Sleep" - the Kinks song (made more popular by the Pretenders) that she very beautifully covered in 1966. Very scratchy, but pure class.

    RIP Lesley.

  2. Thanks for this, Scott. Will seek out this version by Lesley Duncan as I don't think I've heard this. Always up for a new sound!
